Pediatric Skilled Nursing Care

Our licensed and registered practical nurses have vent experience and are trained to take care of children that are ventilator dependent with trach, G-tube, NG-tube and bipap.

At Assured, we approach caring for each child as if we were caring for our own children. Our experienced, licensed nurses work closely with each family to develop an environment that not only nourishes the physical and mental development of each child but also supports the entire family. The Assured care team is trained to attend to the special needs of children and recognize changes or complications should they develop. Our collaborative care program allows the various providers attending to a child to notify each other if changes should occur and immediately contact pediatricians, medical social workers or other health care providers to initiate timely interventions. This prevents a child from facing many of the problems associated with a deteriorating condition that has been left untreated.

If a parent needs some time away from a medically fragile child to attend to errands, work outside of the home, manage personal needs or spend time with another family member, Assured team members are always available to help. Our skilled nurses provide around the clock care when necessary, allowing parents to step away and know their child is safe. This provides peace of mind, and it reduces stress for the entire family.

Our range of expertise with children include:
  • Apnea Monitoring
  • Oxygen Administration
  • Tracheostomy Care
  • Ventilator Management & G-Tube Feedings
  • Medication and formula administration
